Combating climate change requires a profound transformation of our businesses. The European Green Deal has set the goal of reducing carbon emissions by 55% by 2030. Thermador Groupe has completed its carbon footprint assessment and is now implementing a “climate plan”.
Reduction of our carbon footprint

Direct greenhouse gas emissions from fossil fuels & Indirect emissions from the production of purchased and consumed energy
We are actively reducing our environmental impact by transitioning our vehicle fleet and minimising the carbon footprint of home-to-work journeys and business travel. Our energy sobriety plan includes building insulation, efficient equipment, and promoting responsible daily practices.

Embracing new sustainable energy solutions in 2025
We have installed a new adjustable solar panel system, known as a 'tracker', which optimizes energy production. This innovative system tracks the sun's movement throughout the day, ensuring the panels always position themselves at the most efficient angle for maximum energy capture.
With a production area of 121 m² and a capacity of 28.35 kWc, the system boosts our energy autonomy by generating renewable energy to meet a significant portion of our needs. This installation marks a key step toward adopting a more sustainable energy approach.
When we meet our energy demand or don't need energy, the system automatically feeds any surplus into the power network, making it available for others. This functionality maximizes the system's efficiency and supports the broader community by contributing clean energy to the grid.
By integrating this technology, we continue to reduce our environmental impact and reinforce our commitment to sustainability and corporate social responsibility.

Indirect carbon emissions due to our products, -17% carbon intensity between 2022 and 2030
We are committed to sustainable practices across our supply chain. This includes encouraging suppliers to use recycled materials, adopt decarbonised energy, and align with local energy policies. Our European suppliers (40% of purchases) comply with the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive, while non-European suppliers (32.5%) are supported in adapting to the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism.

Electric charging stations at Syveco
Conscious of climate change and greenhouse gas emissions, we have been working on assessing our carbon footprint. We have measured our carbon footprint throughout our entire value chain (scopes 1, 2 and 3).
Through Life Cycle Assessments and Environmental Product Declarations, we promote eco-design, prioritising product longevity, repairability, and sustainable ranges.
We ensure that our transport partners are committed to reducing their carbon emissions. In order to drive accountability, we are setting up a carbon emissions reporting and communication system.
Protection of terrestrial fauna and flora
To promote biodiversity in the environment surrounding our building, we adhere to the recommendations of a local environmental protection association called APIE (Association Porte de l’Isère Environnement). This includes a passage reserved for small fauna through fences, the planting of hedges serving as a refuge for numerous species, the planting of fruit trees, a field of flowers and herbs, the removal of invasive species, the installation of bird nests and an insect hotel, and green spaces planted with a focus on local species, nectar plants, and a small orchard.
Events are regularly organized on the site by a member of the APIE association to raise awareness among employees about fauna and flora around us.
We have recently installed two beehives in the company's back courtyard, a project our employee Urszula initiated. These beehives are cared for in collaboration with a professional beekeeper, contributing to local biodiversity and enabling us to produce our own honey.
Partnership with ONF (The National Forestry Office)
Syveco has committed €10,000 in 2024 to fund a reforestation project near its operations in Janneyrias, in collaboration with the National Forestry Office (ONF). This project will replace an old poplar grove with 600 climate-resilient trees, covering half a hectare, to promote biodiversity and address climate challenges. Employees contributed by reducing car travel during «Mobility Week» and offsetting carbon emissions from business flights. Some employees also participated in planting trees, and further site maintenance is planned for spring. The initiative is expected to continue in future years.
Optimisation of employee travel
Thanks to the involvement of all our employees, 665 trees were planted with @ReforestACTION in 2022. Our employees participated in the European Mobility Week by teleworking or using soft modes of transport (carpooling or public transport). 4,138 km were calculated and valorised. The amount generated contributed to the forest ecosystem restoration in Varages (Var, France).

To promote sustainable transportation, we provide financial support to employees for carpooling and the use of public transportation. Furthermore, we offer electric charging stations, electric bikes for intra-subsidiary travel, and the option of remote working.
